Let’s be honest: we’ve all had those questions we were too shy to ask our coach. Whether you’re new to CrossFit or you've been training for years, there are little things—habits, techniques, mindset shifts—that can completely change your experience… if only someone told you.
That’s what this Coach’s Corner is for. No filter, just the honest advice your coach wishes you'd ask for—but knows you might not.

1. You Don’t Need to Be Fit to Start CrossFit
Let’s squash the biggest myth first. The goal isn’t to be fit before walking through the door. The workouts are scalable. You’ll build strength, endurance, and confidence over time. Show up exactly as you are.
"The hardest part is showing up. We’ll take care of the rest."
2. Progress Takes Time — and That’s Okay
It’s normal to feel impatient. You want pull-ups, double-unders, and big lifts—now. But true progress is built on consistency, good sleep, nutrition, and recovery. Celebrate small wins. They add up.
Your goal isn’t to be the fittest in the room next month—it’s to still be training 10 years from now.
3. We See When You’re Comparing Yourself… and It’s Holding You Back
It’s tempting to look at the whiteboard and feel discouraged.
But CrossFit is about your journey. That person lifting heavier? They’ve been here for years. Focus on your progress, not theirs.
Comparison steals joy. Progress builds it.
4. What You Do Outside the Box Matters Just As Much
You train hard—great. But if you’re eating like crap, sleeping 5 hours, and skipping mobility?
You’re leaving gains on the table. Ask your coach for help on the "other 23 hours" of the day. We’re here for that too.
5. Ask Questions. Always.
You’re not expected to know everything. Don’t know the movement? Ask. Don’t understand the workout? Ask. We want you to ask—we’re coaches because we love helping you grow.
You’re never annoying us by asking. Ever.
6. Your Effort Is What Makes You a CrossFitter, Not Your Score
Did you show up? Did you give your best? That’s what counts.
Whether you finished first or last, RX or scaled, you earned it. And we’re proud of you.
Final Thoughts:
Your coaches aren’t just watching your squat depth or your kettlebell swings—we’re watching your mindset, your habits, your progress. And we’re here for all of it.So next time you hesitate to ask something, just ask.
Because the best advice? It’s the one that changes your journey.
